Meet Information
Kempsville's Chris Kobiela(16:25) gradually broke away from Norfolk Academy's Ian Granger(16:37) and First Flight's Ryan Wallace(16:42) as he led his team to a first place finish. The rest of First Flight's top five won their kick battles and they were able to edge out Norfolk Academy for second place.
In the Girls race Stonebridge's Emily Dinning(18:51) got out fast and was never challenged in route to running to becoming the 5th girl to break 19 on the current Norfolk Academy course. Denbigh Baptist's Madison Strickland(19:26) moved past an improve Norfolk Academy pack in the middle of the race and moved solidly into 2nd. The Norfolk Academy girls won the race with their top three under 21 and all five under 22. Oscar Smith edged out Denbigh Baptist on the 6th girl tie-breaker for 2nd place.
