4th Annual Pole Vault Summit

We would like to invite you to the 4th annual Fluvanna County High School Pole Vault Summit. The meet will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Fluvanna County High School. The meet is open to all high school vaulters and there is no entry limit. Please e-mail your entries to Tom Casto at tcasto@mail.fluco.org as soon as possible to let us know if you will be able to attend.

GUIDELINES FOR FLYING FLUCOS POLE VAULT SUMMIT
Entries: Unlimited entries per school. All athletes are required to be accompanied by a parent or coach in order to compete. Please e-mail the names of your vaulters and their best vault for this season to Tom Casto at tcasto@mail.fluco.org by midnight Wednesday, May 11.
Entry Fees: $5 per athlete.
Make checks payable to FCHS Track.
Walk-in entries the day of the meet are welcome.
Entry Deadline: Please submit entries by Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

Awards: A trophy will be awarded to the top boy and girl in the elite competition.
Facilities: There are restrooms facilities available at the track, the high school will be off limits.
Concessions: No concessions will be available.
Format: The meet will be divided into 2 segments. Boys and girls will vault at the same time.
Elite Segment:
The meet will begin with the elite vaulters. For this segment of the meet the bar will start at 80 and move up in 6 increments. For this segment girls may enter at the opening height, boys will not be allowed to enter until the bar gets to 110.
JV Segment:
When the elite segment concludes the JV vaulters will be given 30 minutes to warm-up. For this segment of the meet the bar will start at 40 and move up in 6 increments. Boys and girls may enter this segment of the meet at any height.
Schedule: Check-in and initial warm-up will be at 3:00. All vaulters must be accompanied by a coach in order to compete. Competition will begin at 4:00.
