Day One Results

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Aimee Veatch
(Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) of the Radford women's track and field team set a new school record in the hammer throw and captured her second straight outdoor title on day one of the 2010 Big South Championships at Bagwell/Settles Track and Field Stadium.

Also highlighting competition was Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va./Craig County), who ran a personal-best time of 38:29.31 in the 10,000m to finish fourth.

The Highlanders finished day one of competition in fourth place with 19 points.
