ATLANTA, Ga. – Aimee Veatch (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) of the Radford women's track and field team placed fourth in the hammer throw at this weekend's Georgia Tech Invitational at Griffin Track.

Veatch reached a distance of 55.05m (180'7”) during the competition. This is the fifth time this season in which Veatch has reached the distance of 55.00m or better and five out of her last seven throws have eclipsed 179 feet or better. She is ranked 38th nationally and 19th in the East Region in the hammer throw.

The Highlanders will be back on the track May 27 for the NCAA East Regional.
