Unlike any other classification, this will actually be the first time both of these classifications have a state meet. In indoors this meet was combined due to so few of the schools having indoor teams. But now that we are in the outdoor season, the participation numbers and competitor numbers are way up and ready to produce some impressive times and performances.
Leading the way on the team sides at the 2A level will be the Green Dragons from Maggie Walker. They are looking to become the first, at least to my understanding, program to win both the boys and girls triple crown of team titles in a single year. They have already both won the cross country titles and the indoor titles and look to be the favorites in both of the team titles outdoors. Leading the way for the Green Dragons and the entire classification are Emma Call and Daisy Banta in the distance races and Alex Fleckenstein on the boys side.
