Grassfield’s Grant Holloway turned into Superman at this weekend’s state meet, scoring 46 points, while helping the Grizzlies to the 6A boys title.

After winning the high jump on Friday, Holloway started his Saturday with a #2 VA all-time in the long jump, leaping 25-8.75. Minutes later, he moved on to the track, and blazed to a 13.61 win. Holloway would also win the 300 hurdles (36.73) before finishing his day with a fifth place finish in the 200.
“I’m happy to bring another state team trophy into the Holloway house,” said Grant, whose older brother Trey (now a hurdler for Hampton U.) won a team crown as an athlete at Grassfield. “But his team didn’t win until the 4x4 was over,” said the younger Holloway, whose team had the luxury of wrapping up the title one event before with his points in the 200.
