State Meet Course Now CLOSED until Friday morning!
Due to impending weather and heavy rains set to hit Great Meadow Thursday morning the state meet directors have decided to proactive and cancel any course previews or practices on the course. This mainly affects 4A, 5A, and 6A.
The meet staff will not allow anyone onto the course until Friday morning! Please do not come to Great Meadow today, they want to keep everything fair which is why the course is now closed.
The meet staff are working diligently to either get the grass cut this afternoon and/or first thing in the morning tomorrow. To cut the grass require bringing large tractors onto the course itself which under wet conditions can destroy the integrity of the course itself. The likely first areas to be cut will be along the fence line and on the hill.
PLAN ACCORDINGLY! There is extensive construction going on around the course on the roads which is causing SEVERE backup. Do not leave it to chance, arrive and leave early!!!
