This weekend Virginia was treated with having all 16 state championship races run in just a 24 hour span. Here we give you the highlights view of XC MileStates 2015.

10:30 - VHSL Group 4A Girls

Watch this race & more here!

In the big showdown between Libby Davidson and Weini Kelati we got another historically great one. Though Weini was just on another level the entire race, we finally got to see Libby back into great form. This battle will be much more interesting with the hills in San Diego.

11:15 - VHSL Group 4A Boys

Andrew Hunter. That basically sums up this race. He dominated the course from the onset and never looked back. You would think that announcing your signing the night before the meet would take some pressure off but it seemed that the weather and added that pressure back and then some. His team though stepped up big time and all ran their best race of the year to annihilate their competition.

11:45 - VHSL Group 6A Girls

With the absence of Rachel McArthur, Kate Murphy had a cake walk in the state championship race. The Lake Braddock girls also made quick work of all their competition en route to another state team title. The big head turner here was Rachel Northcutt, only a freshman, finishing as the runner-up. Watch out for her, by this time next season she will be right there with the other two big 6A stars.

12:30 - VHSL Group 6A Boys

Lake Braddock impressed in here as well. Though they didn't equal the feat they accomplished last year by going 1-2, they still made a point to show they are one of the best teams in the entire state. Individually 6A South flat out dominated. They saw their first champion, Jonathan Lomogda, since 2009 and the first 1-2-3 finish since 2001!

1:00 - VHSL Group 5A Girls

Sophomore superstars stole the show here. Emma Wolcott battled with Heather Holt (defending champ) until the final 100m where Wolcott just separated seamlessly. Wolcott also got to see her Tuscarora teammates hoist the trophy once again as they repeated as team champions.

1:45 - VHSL Group 5A Boys

This race was supposed to be one of the closest battles of them all but no one told that to Douglas Freeman's Waleed Suliman. He separated early, opened in the same pace as Drew Hunter, and never looked back. Seyoum tried to close the gap but it proved to much. Both of these teams and others also tried to close the gap on Stone Bridge but no one could stop this very consistent and top heavy unit.
