10. Nansemond River's 2016 "B" 4x1
The first relay team on this list makes it in the most bizarre but impressive way. This quartet of ladies represent the only "B" team to make any of the all-time lists and that is for a obvious reason, it is nearly impossible to make the list let alone with an "A" team.
So, to achieve this honor and make the all-time list as a "B" team they needed to achieve three things. First, the team needed to run a time that was fast enough to make the all-time list. Secondly, their "A" team had to also run the same event, i.e. not EE and Championship, both had to be in the same classification and competition to ensure four different girls were on each relay. Finally, one of the teams had to improve on their own season best performance in the race as well.
In 2016, all of that happened when their "A" team won the national title in 45.08 while their "B" team finished in the championship section with a time of 47.09 to rank 30th all-time in the state.
