Quietly on their Panorama Farms home course the boys of Albemarle are training and running their way to a potential podium finish this fall. They currently hold the fifth spot in our database amongst their 5A foes but after a strong performance at the Albemarle Invitational you cannot ignore them any longer.

Having an entire top seven under 17:00 minutes is no small feat, especially considering these guys did it on the hills at Panorama Farms. By achieving these times, Albemarle joins just Loudoun Valley and Dominion as the only teams in the entire state with an entire varsity lineup under 17:00 minutes this season.
Their performance also ranks as the second best ever at the Albemarle Invitational. Only the 2012 Battlefield team could defeat these guys. That also includes beating their own Albemarle squad from 2011 which finished an impressive runner-up at the AAA State Championships.
Albemarle has some more work to do to catch 5A leaders Tuscarora and Deep Run but this is certainly a performance that shouldn't go unnoticed and provide more excitement for the 5A team title hunt!
