South Lakes sophomore, Hannah Waller has gone from a state meet dark-horse to a national superstar in just the course of a few months. Last year she finished as the state runner-up in the 100 and now she has flipped the script and is the best 55m runner in the entire nation thus far.
She made that jump with her crazy fast 6.94, VA #4 all-time, 55m dash at the Liberty Christmas Invitational. That time hopefully will follow the same progression she had in the 100m last year and be just the start.
She will be running this weekend up at the Ocean Breeze Freedom Games in the 300. This will be her first try at this distance but she does own a 57.76 best in the 400 meaning she could also dip under 40 on their banked surface.
