Aimee has earned "All District", "All Region", and "All State" honors. She has earned River Ridge District and Region IV titles in the shot put and discus. Aimee also finished 3rd in the discus at the state AA meet in Harrisonburg 2008.

Aimee holds the Virginia state hammer throw record at 46.57 meters (152'9") feet. Nike national outdoor qualifier!

Weight Throw personal best 12.39m, which translates to about 40'8. Nike national indoor qualifier!

Aimee holds the Cave Spring school record in the discus at 128'08 feet.

Aimee is serving as one of the Captains for in the indoor and outdoor team.

The 2nd annual DC/MD/VA high school hammer throw championships took place on a hot, sunny Sunday, June 8. The Virginia girls' state record holder was there along with two former state record holders. Aimee Veatch (Sr, Cave Spring HS, Roanoke, Va) had set the state record last year with 40.59 meters (133'2"). This record was surpassed twice earlier this year, first by Jessie Echard (Sr, Robinson HS, Fairfax, Va), with 40.77 meters (133'9") on May 11, then by Natalie Baird (Sr, Park View HS, Sterling, Va).

6/7/08 Aimee Veatch regained her record with a throw of 46.57 meters (152'9"). On her last throw, Baird had a far foul past the 46 meter mark. All three of these girls are qualified for the Nike Outdoor National meet, which will be held later this month in Greensboro, NC.
