ELIGIBILITY: The 5C North Region track meet will be limited to the first 6 finishers and the top 3 relay teams in the Potomac and National District meet, or individuals or relay teams that have met regional or state qualifying standards.
ENTRIES: All entries to the regional meet must be on Milestat.com and VHSL forms sent to joseph.e.breinig@lcps.org Work 703-722-2690 and Cell 703-501-6211
FACILITIES: The John Champe and Thomas Edison track is 400 meters and has 8 lanes. The track surface is rubberized. The shot and discus circles are concrete. 1/4" spikes and flats may be used on the track and runways.
ADMISSIONS: Adults and students: $7.00.
T-Shirts will be sold
ATHLETES: All athletes must remain in the track area.
AWARDS: Meet trophies will be presented as soon as scores are validated. Individual awards may be picked up at the press box at the conclusion of the meet on day 2 at John Champe. The top 3 individuals and top 3 relay teams will receive medals.
SCORING: Individual (10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) Relay (10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
CONCESSIONS: Thomas Edison and John Champe High School will operate a concession stand.

Relay Events Top 3 District Meet Place Winners
Athletes and relays that have met the Region standards in the District meet or in a sanctioned
meet of 4 or more teams.
Entry forms by VHSL and Milestat.com need to be Done by Monday May 18 by 12:00pm
Properly Equipped and Sportsmanship Form will be filled out at the coaches meeting.
Entry Confirmations : Entries will be posted on MILESTAT for review.
After reviewing MILESTAT and you find an error, email Joe Breinig Jr. by
Tuesday, May 22 no later than noon.

Implement Certification :
Meet Officials must certify all event implements.
There will be designated areas for team tents.
Coaches, boxes will be set up for the Pole Vault, Shot, Discus and High Jump Areas
Only athletes competing in an event and Meet Personnel are allowed on the infield.
No electronic devices in the competition area.
Participation Rules:
Field Events: Athletes must report by the second call for that event-ABSENCE FOR THE THIRD CALL WILL RESULT IN A SCRATCH FROM THAT EVENT.
Athletes are required to report back to their field event within 10 minutes of authorized check out from that event.
Track Events: Athletes must report to the designated area by the second call.
