South County Vertical Jump Summit
Vertical Jumping in a Bubble
WHEN: December 11, 2010 9:00 a.m. The BUBBLE will be open at 7:30 am
WHERE: South County Secondary in the Bubble, Lorton, VA
Facility: Air structure that resembles a bubble. 85 foot elevated runway, inch spike only runway.
WHO: Open to all high jumpers and pole vaulters grades 9-12
ENTRY FEE: $10 per athlete up to 7 athletes then $75 per school for both girls and boys team. Make your checks out to: South County Track.

ENTRIES: For those who are able, pre-registration with Hy-Tek is requested, although we will accept payment/registration at the door. Remember if day of registration the athlete will not be listed in the program.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Tuesday, December 7, 2010 by 1 p.m.
SANCTIONS: Sanctioned for Virginia if you are from out of state and would like to participate. Please let us know and we will get it sanctioned.
PARTICIPATION RULES: Athletes can participate in the high jump and/or the pole vault.
AWARDS: Individual awards will be given to the top 6 individuals in both the high jump and the pole vault. Team trophies will be given for a combined total scoring.
TEAM SCORING: The top 11 jumpers in each event will score as follows: 20-16-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1, Then combining both girls and boys events for the Team Championship.
EVENT PROCEDURES:
Girls Pole VAULT AND BOYS HIGH JUMP WILL GO FIRST, then switch at the conclusion of both events. High jump and pole vault will use the FIVE ALIVE METHOD.
Starting heights will be:
Girls High Jump 4'4" and Boys High Jump 5'4"
Girls Pole Vault 6'0" and Boys Pole Vault 8'0
