The Fork Union boys and St. Catherine's girls successfully defended their state team titles at Saturday's Virginia Independent Schools State Championships in Richmond. The meet saw a total of 6 meet record performances including a 2:58 1000 from Libby Parrish of St. Catherine's and 1:16 500 from Micah Brickhill of Liberty Christian, who battled it out against each other at the end in an exciting 4x400 meter relay anchor leg.
