Gala FINAL Time Schedule

Listed below is a final time schedule for the first annual MileStat.com Elite Track Gala to be held this Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia. Saturday\'s field events will start at 2 pm and running events witll start at 5 pm. Sunday\'s field events will start at 10 am and running events will start at 1 pm. Final instructions for the meet are also included. We are looking forward to getting this meet off the ground this year for what hopes to eventually become one of the top outdoor track post-season meets in the country. We certainly have an unusually high number of stellar athletes headling the first year event to get the ball rolling and don\'t forget the success and future of this meet may play a large role in the success and future of MileStat.com

SCHEDULE CHANGES -- The preliminaries of the 100 meter dash, girls 100 meter hurdles, and boys 110 meter hurdles were eliminated from Saturday\'s schedule and we will run section only finals on Sunday. The start times on Saturday have been moved to later times as a result to keep from any lag time in the meet in transition from field events to running events as well as attempting to stay away from the hotter portion of day for the running events. The number of entries in all individual events are all satisifcatory to be run off, but entries in some of the relay events have been low to force alterations in the schedule. There will be no girls 4x800 meter relay, but there will be a boys 4x800 meter relay. The boys 800 SMR is also cancelled, but we will run a girls 800 SMR. The remaining relay events are also scheduled to be run off.

AWARDS -- It is really important that your athletes and relays are aware of the awards ceremonies times and procedures. We want to recognize their performances at the meet and also show our appreciation for participation in the meet. We will be giving out medals to the top six finishers in each individual event and mebers of the top three finishing relays. We will be doing formal awards ceremonies with announcements on the inside of the track on the homestretch by the jump runway. We will be giving out plaques at the end of the meet to the most deserving running event athletes and will be giving out plaques to the most deserving field events athlete shortly after the conclusion of the final field events on Sunday.

ENTRANCE -- We will be giving out passes to athletes, coaches, and officials at a specific entrance at Sports Backers Stadium. If you leave the stadium including athletes doing a warmup, you must present the pass when returning into the facility.
