A list of the top returning individuals in each event among Region I schools from last year's outdoor season and links to full returnees rankings lists in each event. Region I has two of Group AA's best jumpers in Smithfield's Marquis Childress and Brunswick's Donmanique Hardy (photos by Jon Fleming). Childress was the indoor state champion last month in both the long jump and triple jump, while placing second in the high jump. Hardy was third in the state indoor meet to Childress in both events, but is the returning outdoor state champion in the long jump and last spring's state runner-up in the 300 meter hurdles.
