T.C. Williams rising sophomore Noah Lyles will wear the Red, White, & Blue jersey (colors that he is familiar with as the same schools for T.C. Williams) for Team USA at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine starting on Friday, July 12th when he competes in the first round of the boys' 200 meter dash. Lyles has the fastest season best time out of all the competitors in his heat at 21.38 followed by two others with times coming in under 22 seconds in Oduro from Nigeria at 21.56 and Papou from Belarus at 21.96. Each heat winner automatically advances onto the semi-finals then the next 11 fastest times. The event is scheduled to start at 4:30 AM EST. Lyles is also likely in the relay pool to be used as a potential leg on the 4x100 or 4x400 meter relay team for the United States in either preliminary or finals rounds.
