Noah Lyles of T.C. Williams just missed making the 200 meter dash finals at the World Youth Championships in Ukraine as his 21.58 semi-finals performance today was 9th fastest and only one spot away from the 8th and final qualifying spot. Nonetheless, an end to a historically great freshmen year for Lyles to have to taken him to the world stage in Ukraine. It will be exciting to see how Noah Lyles and his brother Josephus Lyles, also a rising sophomore at T,C, Wukkuans, continue to develop over the next several years in high school. Josephus Lyles won the freshmen 400 at the New Balance Nationals several weeks ago and ran the second fastest 400 time among all freshmen in the nation this season at 48.56. Meanwhile, Noah Lyles is the nation's fastest in the 200 meter dash with a 21.23 personal best and earned All-American honors at the New Balance Nationals in the event before qualifying for World Youth Championship team for the United States. A bright future to eventually become of the nation's best for the Lyles brothers who are in the same grade, but not identical twins and rather what some call "Irish twins" as siblings born within 12 months of each other.
