DALE CITY, VA -- The 2001 Gar-Field Invitational held March 31 at Gar-Field HS in Dale City had some exceptional performances.
Ian Lansdowne of Fauquier had a great day as he was winner in the 200m dash (22.92) and 400m dash (50.59) as well as in the 300m hurdles (41.32).
Colonial Forge sophomore Mike Porter had a PR setting day as he won both the 1600m run (4:32.80) and 3200m run (9:45.15)
On the girls side of the meet, Gar-Field's Latesha Coulter was a standout as she won both the 100m dash and 200m dash in times of 12.87 and 26.39 respectively.
The Nelms sisters at Spotsylvania, week and week out show why they are a force to be reckon with in the AA ranks. Jen Nelms was a winner in the 400m dash (59.21) and high jump (5'2") Jen's sister, Kurstin Nelms, was a winner in the 800m run (2:27.31).
