A list of the top 50 fastest freshmen girls 5K times in Virginia from this past cross country season. Battlefield's Saige Cisler ended up finishing as the fastest freshmen in the state at season's end after running an 18:20 PR for All-State honors in the Group 6A race (fastest among all freshmen at Great Meadow in the 6 state championship races). Cisler followed that 7th place state performance up with a 20th place finish of 18:21 at the Nike Cross Southeast Regional and just ahead of the second fastest freshmen in sub 11 minute two miler Morgan Lewis (24th, 18:24) of Veritas School. A remarkable comeback for Lewis who had missed the vast majority of season meets and training due to injury.
