Coach Claude Toukene at Western Branch High School and Coach Stan Morgan at Midlothian High School have been announced as the 2007 All-MileStat.com Indoor Track Team Coaches of the Year.
Boys coach winner Toukene put together a great Western Branch squad this year that won the AAA state team title with a young group dominated by sophomores. Toukene has only been at the helm for a few short years, but now has a program in place that will be at the top for years to come. 50 points were produced by Western Branch sophomores in individual events at the state meet. The Western Branch boys were Southeastern District and Eastern Region champions and Coach Toukene also coached an individual state champion in Javanti Sparrow for 500 meters and an All-American in Kelvin Griffin in the triple jump. Both are only sophomores. Congratulations Coach Toukene.
