The Deep Run Invitational, formerly known as the Lee-Davis Invitational, will be held for the second year in a row away from its original home at Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville at its new home at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen. Co-host schools of the meet feature many of the top athletes in the meet with Briana Hudson, Courtlin LaReau, and Ashley Orr for Deep Run and Rachel Butler for Lee-Davis.

Girls Sprints
Deep Run’s Joanna Hassell is the top seed in the 100 meter dash with a personal best of 12.65. Hassell ran on the All-American sprint medley relay for Deep Run at Nike Indoor Nationals and qualified for state meet competition in the 100 meter dash last outdoor season. Hassell will be looking to pick up her first invitational victory this season after taking a close second (12.75) to one of Group AA’s best in Dominion’s Jennifer Weatherly (12.74) at the VA Runner Invitational in March.
