Total domination for Lake Braddock

FAIRFAX, VA -- A meet where they combine the team scores of both the boys and girls squads of schools to get a winner, the Allen Johnson Invitational was a perfect fit for the hosting Lake Braddock as they have two great track teams in their boys and girls squads. Lake Braddock ran away with the meet as they were able to rack up 134 points from the girls squad and 131 from the boys to amass a total of 265. Far behind was second place Oakton with 173.50 points.

Garrett Brickner helped the boys squad to the title as he was a double winner in the boys high jump (6'6") and long jump (20'10").

Even with the great boys' squad Lake Braddock has, there girls' squad is even better. As Lake Braddock's Alexandra VanHueven contributed 28 points to the Lake Braddock cause as she was a winner in both the 100 meter hurdles (15.27) and triple jump (37'6") as well as a second place finisher in the 300 meter hurdles (47.44).

The Lake Braddock girls' 4x400 meter relay squad was impressive as well as they set a new meet record with their winning time of 3:58.69.
