Morgan Lewis (Veritas) 18:03 VA #4
This past weekend Morgan had one big break-through for the season. She improved over a minute on her season pb and over 20 seconds on her pr with her 18:03 performance down in Williamsburg at the Big Cat Invitational (Open Race). She too is also a sophomore, and would be the fastest in the state if it were not for Libby. This weekend however with some great competition we could see a couple sub 18 minute performances, a feat that only happened in 2011 when we saw an astounding four girls dip under 18. For all those just focused on the VHSL runners, don't forget that the VISAA has some really great runners who are going to be winning a lot of invitationals in the future.
