Harrison takes runner-up to teammate at Pan-Am Junior Champs

At the Pan Am Junior Championships in Brazil, 2006 Hermitage High School grad Queen Harrison finished as runner-up in the finals of the 100 meter hurdles on Friday to Virginia Tech teammate Kristin Castlin in a 13.20 clocking. Harrison will finish up what has been an amazing freshmen year of college track Saturday and Sunday in the semifinals of the 400 meter hurdles on Saturday and the finals on Sunday. Harrison is currently the world juniors leader in the event and heavy favorite to win in Brazil to add a gold medal to the silver medal she earned on Friday. Update: Harrison qualified for the finals of the 400 meter hurdles with a second place finish in her heat in 57.28.
