With only mere hours separated us from the penultimate meet, the VHSL State Cross Country Championships, it is time to look and preview each classification. Inside is a breif preview of the classification and the leaderboards for the top 50 individuals in the classification.
In the first race of the weekend we could see one of the biggest upsets in the state this year. Though Maggie Walker not only has the top team on paper but also the top individuals with Emma Call and Khloe Pointer leading the way in 2A, they are not immune to attack like they were in previous competitions. If these two girls do not come and compete at the level they should this weekend we could see George Mason’s Girls reign victorious. They almost did just that this past week at the 2A East Regional due to one of the Green Dragon’s top runners dropping out.
