Three most stacked events

The three most stacked events this week are the Girls Triple Jump, Girls 4x400m Relay, and the Boys 2 Mile Run. Each of these events has top level talent that is national champion caliber. In the girls triple jump we have LaChyna Roe, Maya Hanks, and Titiana Marsh who have all leaped over 40ft and not to mention won a few state titles. Marsh enters this competition as a freshman and the 6A indoor state champion when she leaped to a 41-2 freshman national record! This could rival some of the past epic triple jump battles here at STC.

The Girls 4x400 will have US #3 Nansemond River leading the way with Elizabeth Seton and Douglas Freeman giving serious chase. Then on the splits side of things Grassfield's Lauryn Ghee (if she runs on this relay) will be pushing NR hard to see who comes away with the fastest split of the day. Watch out for Kara Lyles of NR who split 53 up at the Penn Relays!

In one of the final events of the night we will get to see one of the most loaded boys 2 Miles our state has ever seen. We will have three FL finalists, the indoor national champion, and a field with a total of 18 state titles. Andrew Hunter will be the headliner in this and could seriously push towards that state record of 8:42c. Peter Seufer, Tyler Cox-Philyaw, Sam Teller, Brad Swiney, Gannon Willcutts, and many more though stand between him and winning this stacked race.
