After a very easy state meet weekend in Harrisonburg, Drew is in the big city for his second chance to take down Grant Fisher. To arrive here for the Adidas Dream Mile Drew had to be invited or qualify. Thanks to him running a 4:03 at Dogwood only a week after having won the Penn Relays mile he was automatically invited to this event for being a beast.
When Andrew toes the line this weekend we should be in for quite the show. When he ran his 4:03.88 he led the entire race and dropped anyone within a couple seconds of him. Though he had some company, he had no one taking the lead halfway or pushing him through the final quarter. This weekend will be the total opposite of that. He will likely be near the front but let someone else (Fisher?) take the lead and try and make his move before the field makes theirs', learning from his 4th place finish at Foot Locker Nationals.
Though he is against very tough competition that will need him to go close to sub 4 to have a real shot at winning, he serious has a shot to not only win this race but also to break four minutes in the mile. Remember, compared to a lot of these athletes Drew has had a lot of rest since his last big race which was a month ago and thus is ready and primed for a huge performance this weekend.
Our predicted finish time: 3:59.743
