Midlothian pair named Gatorade VA XC runners of the year

Midlothian High School had the first ever pair of AAA state cross country individual champions this fall and now have the first pair of Gatorade State Cross Country Runner of the Year award winners in senior Jason Witt and sophomore Kathleen Lautzenheiser. Not only did both Witt and Lautzenheiser win individual state titles this past cross country season, but also qualified to compete at Foot Locker Nationals. Gatorade award winners are selected not only for their outstanding athletic performances, but for meeting high academic-achievement standards while demonstrating exemplary personal character on and off the field.
