It is very unfortunate for MileStat to have to announce that the 2015 Great American XC Festival has officially been cancelled due to a state of emergency being declared in North Carolina. Just like nearly everyone else in the state, MileStat was very excited to see some super match ups this weekend on a very fast course.
We do have some good news though! We are very excited to announce that the MileStat.com XC Invitational (10/17) will be held on the upper course at Pole Green which is very very fast. It may not be quite as fast as Wake Med's course but it is definitely going to put up a fight for fastest in Virginia this year. With the grass cut low and over 80 teams signed up, this is going to be the biggest and best meet this season if you want to enter the post-season or end the season on a high note.
This meet will bring some of the best talent from all over the state to Pole Green Park to race with the best. Part of this same course saw the RVA Relays run on it and that produced some wicked fast times including a 7:46 2500m split for Rachel McArthur, a 8:10 split for Emma Call and a 7:01 split for Ryan Buscaglia!
