One of North Carolina's top sprinters in Kelsey McCorkle will be favored in the 55 and 300 meter dash, which she is also a defending North Carolina 3A state champion in both events. Last February at the Eddie Smith Fieldhouse for the North Carolina State Championships, the South Central High School sprinter won the 55 meter dash in a personal best of 7.11 and 300 meter dash with one of the nation's fastest flat track times of 40.22.
