Herndon's Heather Fisher (25th, 18:21), Hidden Valley's Jennifer Beury (27th, 18:22), Martinsville's Anna Chase (28th,
18:23), Western Albemarle's Jessica Fanning (29th, 18:27), and Hayfield's Morgan Phelan (31st, 18:33). Albemarle senior Hari
Mix finishes a heartbreaking ninth place and one second ahead away from last national qualifying spot of eighth with his time
of 15:03. Thomas Jefferson's Christo Landry is not too far behind Mix in 10th at 15:07. Forest Park's Bryce Iverson (17th,
15:23), West Springfield's Steve Tobin (21st, 15:25), J.R. Tucker's Michael Chapa (23rd, 15:27), and Westfield's David Groff
(28th, 15:31) earned All-South honors, while Woodside's Derrick Robbins finished just off of the top 32 All-South team with a
33rd place finish (15:36). In other race action in Charlotte, the Midlothian duo of Ryan Witt and Billy Berlin had a very
unique finish in the boys' senior race. The Trojan pair duplicated last year's performance of graduated teammate Brandon
Miles, who set the senior race record last year in 15:51, as Witt and Berlin finished 1-2 in the race with the same time of
15:51 to tie Miles' record time. Hayfield's Brian Fussell ran his season's best race in taking runner-up honors in the junior
race in 15:57. Other strong finishers in the class races, Fort Defiance's Michael Clifton in the freshmen boys race (3rd,
16:35), Franklin County's Brittany Killough in the freshmen/sophomore girls race (4th, 19:11), and Warren County's Michelle
Beardmore (3rd, 19:16) and Ocean Lakes' Heather Murdoch (4th, 19:18) in the junior/senior girls race.
