17:00 (Lake Braddock - 2017)
Kate Murphy has once again continued to amaze and shock the entire state this season. After improving two minutes and six seconds from her freshman to sophomore year she decided to raise the bar again and run 30 second personal best this past weekend to bring her best time down to 17:00. She currently sits #7 all-time for Virginians in XC with that performance.
Her win at NXR-SE was just that much better considering her performance helped lead her teammates to a NXN team bid as they romped the Southeast Region to take home the trophy over rivals Blacksburg. Kate was also the 6A North and 6A State Champion this season.
