This past week Bethel senior, Isaiah Norris took to the track at the Suffolk Stars Invitational. In the 55m Hurdles he was not to be touched as he went 7.43 for a huge personal record and a new VA #1 time! This is only his second indoor season and third track season despite being a senior.
Last outdoor season, remember his first outdoor season, Isaiah finished a very impressive 4th place in the 110 hurdles behind all-time top 10 runners Grant Holloway and Quincy Watts and also Anthony Williams. Not too bad for a first shot at the title.
Though Isaiah is just starting out, it does not look like he is going to be just picking up new events at this stage in his senior season. He will race all three hurdle races and should actually place fairly high. Remember though, Bethel is now 5A.
This means he has a much cleaner shot to the state title in all three hurdling events. Whatever you do though, keep an eye on him.
