Hey Philly, We're Back!! VA Penn Relays Preview

Individual Running Events Preview

This preview has to begin with none other that Weini Kelati (Heritage) who is starring in the 3K and legit chasing the national record this Thursday. All eyes will be on the clock as she attempts to run faster than 9:00.16. She already holds the national 5K record indoors and has really high hopes this weekend. Libby Davidson, national runner-up, will also be in this race and potentially pushing for a class record.

Gannon Willcutts will be VA's top seed in the boys race.

In the Mile competition Patriot superstar, Rachel McArthur will take to the track this weekend. She split 4:50 last year in frigid conditions and with weather being warmer this year and she being visibly in much better shape we can expect something really special this weekend. As is tradition we are going to predict her time and this year we think she is going to win it if the pace goes fast-honest-kick the final 500. She should be able to run in those conditions 4:37.40.

Tyler Cox-Philyaw will be VA's top seed in the boys mile and if he has a great race should be in serious contention to break 4:10 and be with the lead back in the final 150m and with a huge crowd anything is possible.
