The Bay Rivers District boys teams in Jamestown and Lafayette hold down the top spot in the Region I rankings with Jameston as the #1 ranked team, but Lafayette took the district title away from them last week at York High School. Meanwhile, the Battlefield District looks strongest among girls teams with James Monroe out in front, but Courtland girls are close behind. Last year only one point separated the two teams at the region meet as the James Monroe girls were the champions with 67 points.
