If you want to talk about progressing the right way and at the right time, David is the first person you talk about. This is a humble guy who never even won a state championship in VA and is now running for Team USA at the Olympics in our most dominant event(s).
To make the team David ran 44.82 in the finals to finish third and thus secure his spot in both the open 400 and on the 4x400. That time ranks him World #18 this year. Though he was a part of world record setting indoor 4x400, he is no doubt chasing Olympic gold with the most stacked 4x400 in the entire world.
