It will be hard for the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology boys' cross country team to top the season to remember from 2007. Last year's team which was off the radar for most of the season with other teams dominating the top of the rankings in the pre-season and invitational season, had an incredible run at season's end to win district, regional, and state titles as well as earn a berth to Nike Team Nationals as only the second school from Virginia to ever to qualify a team for NTN.
The team took heavy losses from last year's group as four of their top five runners are gone with three graduating including district champion Evan Heflin and district runner-up Brian Landry, while Brian Davenport transferred to Maury High School in Norfolk during the track season.
