Blacksburg's Cole Beck had a little confusion on which line was the actual finish line at Roanoke College's new indoor track which is hosting this weekend's VHSL 3A/4A State Meet. In his 55 meter prelims, one of the state's fastest in the 55 meter dash, Beck dipped early on a line which wasn't actually the finish line and started to drift into another competitor's lane.
The initial call was a DQ on Beck, but the decision was reversed to allow Beck to advance onto Saturday's finals. Likely decided he did not impede the competitor to his left due to the lane drift.
