Most athletes can only hope to have some huge improvements in their senior season. Jamestown senior Jordan Willis though is not only seeing huge improvements but he is also seeing his shot at finally winning a state title a reality.
Jordan Willis' Athlete Profile
Jordan has been around for a while and slowly but surely he has risen to the level of an elite competition. This month though he solidified that position by taking home the Dogwood Track Classic 400m title in a state leading time of 47.94. That of course goes along with his solid 22-11.5 (VA #13) long jump.
That Dogwood 400 was surely something his coaches have been waiting for. Looking at his athlete profile it is easy to see he has long been capable of achieving that but its sometimes easier said than done. This month though he stepped, in a big way, closer to his goals of winning a state title.
Later this month he will attempt one last time to bring home a state title. If he continues to improve it could actually be a staggering four state 4A title in the 200m, long jump, 4x1, and 400m dash.
Jordan Willis is what all seniors aspire to be. He is certainly on the rise.
