Eastern Challenge Preview

The scarcity of indoor meets in North Carolina and entry standards for the Eastern Challenge at UNC leads to a ridiculous amount of bogus and false seed times as shown by Landstown sprint star Marlena Wesh being seeded 15th in the 55 meter dash behind many inferior athletes as well as Nike Indoor All-American Curtis Campbell of Grassfield potentially not going to run in the fast section of the 500 meter dash because of false seeds ahead of him. But it should be all settled on meet day as both Wesh and Campbell should be some of the top performers from Virginia this weekend in Chapel Hill.

Wesh had a big meet last year at the Eastern Challenge by placing second in the 55 meter dash as well as posting one of the nation's fastest flat track times at the time for 300 meters in a meet record 39.63. The defending Nike Indoor Nationals 200 meter champion had a solid opener to her season last weekend at CNU with wins in the 55 (7.20) and 300 (39.73) meter dash. Wesh...
