1600 Meter Run - Top two seeds are current and future stars of the Central Region in sophomores Brayden Burleigh (pictured left by Ted Plunkett) of Midlothian and Cody Snyder of Lee-Davis. Burleigh had a dominant win last weekend at CNU in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:24, while Snyder has ran well in two Ashe Center meets including a 4:34 1600 on the 145 meter spikeless track and will be looking for his first opportunity to run a fast mile this weekend at Liberty. Another fast sophomore in George Carter with a sub 4:30 performance already under his belt and Blacksburg teammate Brian Hencke both look to be serious race contenders having run quick times at Liberty this season in the 1600 meter run.
