The guys will be the big story at Third Battle but here at Albemarle the big race will be the star-studded showdown on the girls' side. Headlining this group will be defending champion Jodi Tolarchyk, 5A's top returner state runner Ryann Helmers, and VA's last unbeaten athlete, Bethany Graham.
This race will certainly require a quick time and the course record of 18:02 is very much in danger. Though the first two girls are veterans of this course, Graham seems to be having one of the best seasons in recent history and is racing very little. That combination means we could be in store for an exciting finish this weekend.
On the guys' side Brent Bailey will look to continue his breakthrough season here at Panorama. Henrik Anderson could be his toughest competitor.
