Up first for the State Season will be the VISAA Indoor Championships this weekend at St. Christopher's School in Richmond. In these championships there will be two very different team title battles. The first of which will be the girls' competition.
In this competition, Saint Catherine's School looks like an unstoppable force. They will be looking to win back-to-back their 8th title since 2011. Their closest competitors will be Collegiate and Paul IV on the girls' side. These three should be a solid lock for the top three.
Virtual Meets: Boys - Girls
On the guys' side things will be quite different. Here it is just Saint Christopher's and FUMA battling it out in a battle that could see both teams scoring more than the rest of the other teams combined. St. Chris is predicted to score around 120 points with FUMA close behind in 116. In third, fourth, and fifth are Norfolk Academy, Collegiate, and SSSAS.
Interestingly enough the title here will not be decided on the track but actually on the jumping runway. Between the two teams they are slated to score 92 total points in the jumps. Keep your eye on those events as they will certainly play a huge roll in this team title.
