Olympic gold medalists Francena McCorory and LaShawn Merritt have teamed up in a away to continue chasing Olympic glory. These two athletes representing different brands have joined Justin Gatlin and others under the famed coaching expertise of Brooks Johnson. They are training in Orlando, Fl.
In this workout these Olympians were working on running the curve and improving technique and mechanics. Francena was a 4x4 gold medalist in 2012 and 2016 while LaShawn won gold in the 400 at the 2008 Games.
Francena took time after her practice to speak with FLRunners' Todd Grasley about her training, career, and goals moving forward.
LaShawn also stepped away from the workout and FLRunners was sure to catch up with him as well as he begins to take on a more mentoring role in the track community.
