Western Branch senior and University of Kentucky commit, Shadajah Ballard put the entire nation on notice today. The message was clear, she is one of the best hurdlers in the entire nation and looks better than ever.
Her winning time of 7.81 is a facility record, US #1 performance, and would rank VA #5 all-time if she didn't already hold the number two spot with her 7.72 best.
This time is also much faster than her 7.98 season opener last year and leads us to believe she could be on the verge of running close to 7.5 in the hurdles this year. Her little sister Na'Taja Ballard finished second in 8.06 which is fast enough to garner her a spot on the VA All-Time list. She ranks 38th all-time in the event with 7.97 ranking 20th all-time.
