The brother sister combo of Jenae Bowers and Jonathan Bowers came to work at Class 6 States. This family duo of seniors finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the two shot put competitions for Grassfield. Ultimately they were a part of Grassfield's monstrous 31 throws points.
Up first was Jonathan who threw the shot 49-11.75. He threw that on his second throw and had two fouls scattered in there. He definitely wanted more but still was able to piece together a nice competition and help Grassfield go 1-3-4-7.
Next up was Jenae who threw an indoor pr of 40-8. That throw came on her first throw of trials and lead the competition for three throws. It was then Courtney Holford, another senior, taking over the lead. In the second to final throw though Jenae was knocking on the door with her 40-5.75 mark.
