#1 Grafton Boys Are #1 VA Team at MileStat Invite
The biggest head turning moment of this past weekend goes to the Grafton Boys. Nearly all season they were ranked as one of our top teams, this past weekend though they made us look blind in our assumptions. Since Saturday they've moved up to #4 in the state in our power rankings.
Their big performance was taking second at the MileStat.com XC Invite behind NC powerhouse Chapel Hill. In finishing second they jumped ahead of and beat head-to-head Deep Run, Glen Allen, Lee-Davis, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and quite a few other big name teams.
The most impressive part of their finish was there 5-11-13-19 front four. They followed that with a 118, 131, and 137. That front four could run with any other team in the state and could likely land them on the judges stand at Great Meadow in November. This finish was a shock!
