The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been a halt to the end of the indoor track and field season and is already affecting the entire outdoor track and field season. It will likely continue into the latter part of the spring.
This has had a major impact on athletes in the class of 2020, who are in danger of losing out on the rest of their senior seasons. For unsigned seniors that want to compete at the collegiate level, this means missing out on final opportunities to gain interest from coaches at the next level.
